Varanus tristis tristis (Freckled Monitor, Black-headed monitor)

This unique monitor with its elegant appearance and brilliant colouration is sure to capture the attention of any reptile enthusiast. Native to Australia it inhabits the entire continent except for the extreme south and south-eastern regions.
