Varanus acanthurus brachyurus (Yellow Spiny-tailed Monitor, Yellow Ackie)

Although similar to V. a. acanthurus in behaviour, appearance, and requirements, the yellow spiny-tailed monitor has more subtle colouration ranging from brown to orange with less pronounced ocelli.
